The Construction Lawyers Society of America (CLSA), a construction law honorary society, has invited Steve Miller, founding partner of Miller Schirger, LLC, to its Fellowship. Capped at 1,200 active practicing attorneys worldwide, the society’s criteria for its Fellows identifies excellence in all areas of construction law – litigation, transactional, contract preparation and negotiation, surety bonding, arbitration – and any other aspects of construction law deemed applicable. As well as outstanding experience and achievement in construction law, Fellows are evaluated for their ethical reputation. The CLSA uses a myriad of resources for vetting candidates, including: Fellow input, research, nominations by Fellows, attorney opinions, evaluation of client selection of counsel, limited input from judges, and reviews by other peer sources and associations.
CLSA’s mission includes being a resource of scholarly legal articles authored by its Fellows relating to the construction practice, advocating for superior ethical standards in the practice of law, advancing the judicial system by highlighting key issues or legislation affecting judicial compensation/benefits, or focusing efforts on the litigation process itself.
The inaugural induction ceremony took place September 13-15, 2017 in Rancho Palos Verdes, California.
